General Information: Founded in 1975, the University of Maribor is located in Slovenia's second largest city, where most of the 17 associated faculties are also located. Five of the faculties are outsourced and located outside Maribor. Psychology belongs to the Faculty of Arts, which is centrally located in Maribor. It offers 185 different courses of study. Scenically, Maribor, located on the banks of the Drava River, has much to offer: Directly to the south of the city are the Bacher Mountains and to the north the hilly country "Windische Bühel". The nearest larger city is the Austrian Graz, which is 60 km away from Maribor.
Study programs and specializations: A 1st and a 2nd cycle degree in psychology is offered, this is comparable to a bachelor and a master program.
Study schedule: The winter semester usually starts at the beginning of October and ends in mid-February. The summer semester starts in mid/late February and lasts until mid-July. The subsequent examination period lasts until mid-September.
Other Information: After you have been offered an Erasmus place, you can apply for a room in the student dormitory. Usually there are enough rooms available for international students.
